McDonalds employee held at knifepoint during horror

Disturbing footage has emerged showing the moment a McDonald’s employee was held at knifepoint.

The horror incident unfolded at a Kingsbury restaurant in Melbourne’s northeast on Friday, February 3.

The person wearing a black hoodie entered the store 3.40am.

After walking up to the counter, the man can be seen producing a plastic bag which the throws to the worker.

He then pulled out a large knife, threatened the staff member and demanded the employee place cash from the till inside the bag.

The employee obliged, handing the bag back to the thief who quickly snatched it from over the counter before turning and leaving the restaurant.

He can be seen on CCTV running from the premises, fleeing west on Dunne Street.

Police confirmed no physical injuries were sustained during the incident and are looking to speak to a young male who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is described as being about 155cm tall and was dressed entirely in black at the time.
