Mr. Kennedy Still Wants To Make WWE Return Despite Leaving On Bad Terms

Mr. Kennedy had a bright future in WWE, as many felt he was going to be the next big thing in the company. He had a rocket strapped to his back and was destined for superstardom. In fact, he was even set to beat The Undertaker for the World Title. None of that happened and he was eventually released. Now it appears that Kennedy still wants to make his WWE return despite leaving on bad terms.

Ken Kennedy had an impressive undefeated streak in 2006 and was subsequently given the opportunity to win the Money in the Bank contract. However, despite his initial success, a series of injuries and behind-the-scenes issues ultimately hindered his upward trajectory in the industry.

Of course, Mr. Kennedy never achieved the heights he could have and was subsequently released by WWE in 2009 after his well-known issues with Randy Orton. It has been 14 long years since he stepped foot in a WWE ring.

While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Mr. Kennedy was asked whether he was surprised that WWE hasn’t invited him back and if he wants to return to the company. Kennedy made it clear that he does want to return to WWE despite leaving on bad terms.

“No, I’m not surprised. I said some really sh—- things on the way out the door, and I completely get it. I would like to eventually be able to go back there and finish it out, but I completely understand if that doesn’t happen. I did it to myself.

I was asked a few years ago, it wasn’t official, but I was asked but Daivari, ‘Hey, your name came up for Royal Rumble. Would you be interested?’ I wasn’t. I was completely out of shape, and I turned it down. But it wasn’t an official ask anyway. I just said, ‘No, I’m not interested.’”

Following his WWE departure, Mr. Kennedy debuted in TNA/Impact Wrestling where he had a solid run as their World Champion. He feuded with the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting and others before being released in 2016. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether Kennedy will ever return to WWE.
